Aziza Atta

We were delighted to recently reconnect with KC Old Girl Aziza Atta and hear about her career success to date.

"I was at KC from 1983 to 1988. I had a great time there. So much fun and so many laughs. Was very involved in Drama with Ms Brewer and Mrs. Perry and Athletics in the summer. Met some great people there and have wonderful memories of rolling down the hill behind the dining room and sliding down the corridors in Knowles House.

I studied Law at Manchester University and then did a Masters and Law School in London. I spent a few years working on developmental projects with an NGO in Guatemala, where our focus was on promoting literacy amongst the Mayan Indian girls. I further worked in Niger Delta on a developmental project before working as a solicitor in London, Belgium and Dubai at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Norton Rose. I got back into Drama when I took a sabbatical to study film in New York and work on a few documentaries in London.

I then moved to Germany, followed by Nigeria where I set up my consultancy (www.afm -consulting.com). I worked on a number of developmental projects and particularly enjoyed script writing for BBC Media Action on their Nebor my Nebor Radio Drama Series which raises awareness about infant mortality. I now live in Accra, Ghana with my family, where I have now launched my online shop Ozoza Lifestyle. We sell african home accessories, fashion accessories, artefacts and art globally."
