Career Mentoring

Volunteer as a Mentor

Mentoring  is usually an extremely rewarding experience. As a mentor you can be involved as much or as little as you like. Please email us with details of your professional expertise, what you are able to offer and the extent of the involvement you are able to have with the Programme. Once you have submitted the form we will be in touch to advise you of the next steps.

Leadership Day

We are currently looking to invite former pupils, and Friends of KC, to talk about their career successes at an upcoming Leadership Day. Since its conception in 2010, the day highlights several talented individuals who have gone into high achieving roles. Kent College hosts the conference on leadership for girls in Year 10 and the Lower Sixth.  Girls at this age are looking at the options and courses available for them at university and beyond.

If you would like to put yourself forward as a guest speaker please do get in touch friends@kentcollege.kent.sch.uk

Career Convention

Every two years the Careers Department hosts an evening where students can meet and take advice from various industry professionals from local businesses, as well as universities and colleges. Over 60 businesses, universities and colleges exhibited in 2014, offering friendly and informal advice to pupils interested in a particular career or still at the browsing stage. Businesses included wealth management, medicine, marketing, media, journalism, fashion, banking and PR amongst others. This is an event which offers fantastic opportunities for pupils to engage with the wider world.

If you would like to put yourself forward for our next event please do emailDr Trainor on trainorn@kentcollege.kent.sch.uk
